Graff Golf is a golf technology product that is a true first of its kind.
The product is a smart golf ball and analytics platform that lets golfers obtain unique statistics for every golf shot they take. The stats are then compiled and analyzed by an app, which creates an improvement program focusing on the weaker areas of a player's game.
The team sought a strong visual mark that would convey the notion of technology but also have the ability to work at multiple sizes given that the product itself is small. Our solution is a simple G made of pathways that lead inward which is a subtle nod to the tagline “examine your game from the inside out”—the ‘inside’ referring to the chip inside the ball, and ‘out’ referring to the data we extract from each golf shot.
The design system, combined with marketing efforts, was incredibly successful. We raised $150k combined from private investors, grants, competitions and crowdfund marketing. We are currently building an inventory through pre-orders and the product will launch in March 2020.
